How to Make an Easy Spaghetti Bolognaise

Here’s a quick and easy way to make Spaghetti Bolognaise. This recipe is for one, but it’s easy to work out how to make it for more.

You will need:

200g Minced Beef (about half a pack)

Handful of Pasta

Half a Pepper

A Small Onion

Pasta/Bolognaise Sauce

Oil

Hot water

Salt and Peper

Two Pans

A Strainer

A Wooden/Plastic Spoon

1. First peel and chop an onion. Then put it into the pan with the minced beef and a little oil (so it doesn’t stick). Stir the mince and onions until the mince is brown and the onions are soft.

2. Next chop the pepper into equal pieces.

You can use other vegetables if you don’t like peppers. Mushrooms are usually used, but as I dont’ like them I replaced them with peppers. You can also buy ‘chunky’ pasta sauces with vegetables already in.

3. Add whatever vegetables you have chosen, with the sauce, to the mince and onions.

4. Leave to simmer, stirring occasionally. Don’t let it boil as it will stick to the pan.

5. While the Bolognaise is cooking, add salt to a pan of water and bring to the boil. Then add the pasta. It should take about 10 to 15 minutes to cook, depending on how well done you want it.

(TIP: It is faster to boil the kettle than to wait for a pan of water to boil)

6. Add  as much salt and pepper as you like to the Bolognaise. You will know when it is done as the vegetables will be soft.

7. When the pasta is cooked leave it to drain for a while.

8. Plate up!

This was definitely the best Spaghetti Bolognaise I have ever made!
