How to Make Chicken Stir Fry

Posted on July 2, 2012

Sorry this post is a bit late…

I love making stir fry. I only recently learnt to make it and I thought it would be really hard. But it’s not really.

You will need:

  • Frying pan
  • Pan
  • Wok/large pan
  • Drainer/colander
  • Wooden spoon
  • Two chicken breasts
  • Chinese noodles
  • Variety of stir fry vegetables (can be frozen or fresh)
  • Vegetable oil
  • Stir fry sauce

1. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan.

2. While the oil is heating cut the chicken breasts into small chunks.

3. Add the chicken to the pan and cook thoroughly. (Check by cutting a piece in half and making sure there is no pink)

4. While the chicken is cooking, boil a pan of water.

5. Add the noodles to the pan of boiling water and leave them to simmer, stirring occasionally. They should only take 5 – 10 minutes.

6. Put the cooked chicken to one side and heat a small amount of oil in the wok/bigger pan.

7. Add the vegetables to the wok. If they are frozen they will take longer to cook.

8. When they are soft (taste them to check) add the cooked chicken and stir.

9. When the noodles are cooked, drain them and add them to the wok and stir.

10. Add the stir fry sauce and stir again.

11. When the sauce is heated, (after about 3 minutes) it is done and ready to serve.
